Patriot gym has a martial arts space with all the amenities that students need to be comfortable and safe while there. This also means a clean and enjoyable as well as fun place to be. Within our facility, we work to increase the visibility of good, safe, professional Muay Thai training for our Patriot gym ‘family’. We help people get settled into our training sessions and see the difference it can make to their lives. As Muay Thai lead coach, I have developed sound safeguarding principles, hold professional coaching qualifications and accountable regulations aimed at making participation more safe and enjoyable. All those who assist are DBS verified. Within our Patriot gym, there are also two team members, who are experienced and qualified in two respective disciples; Muay Thai and Boxing. But more than that, they share the same values and philosophy as me. We continue to work with parents, participants, schools and councils to promote the benefits of martial arts, specifically Muay Thai as a combat sport. I feel motivated and excited knowing Patriot Gym will become a great part of Dorchester community.

Patriot gym is a Muay Thai gym business that started in October 2025 and is operated by its owner and lead coach R.Dean, without being part of a larger franchise or corporate brand. The Owner has complete creative control over the gym’s branding, equipment, pricing, and services. Unlike a franchise, our Patriot Gym is an independent gym that is a self-started business with no required franchise fees or royalty payments. Every penny coming in circulates back into our Patriot Gym, essentially back into the community!
We are indebted to Patriot Gym Minsk coaches to include lead coach Dmitri Borisovich who provides general non-monetary Muay Thai guidance and support to us. This is part of a long standing student – coach friendship with myself and my coach where I have had an active student membership status with Patriot Gym in Minsk since 2005, and that is continued to date. By remaining active students in our own Muay Thai Gym’s where we are still students in Minsk, means we continue our professional development in Muay Thai and remain up to date with Muay Thai art knowledge, skill and competence.
Are the facilities clean and well-maintained (mats, bags, restroom etc)?
Hygiene is very important in a contact sport and imperative for Patriot Gym. The mats, bags, pads, and other shared equipment is disinfected with antibacterial/anti-fungal agents and the facilities are cleaned regularly. That’s before and after every class! Patriot Gym members must have their own training kit e.g boxing gloves/shinpads/wraps. We follow essential hygiene practices to help maintain a clean environment at Patriot Gym
